di Roberto Gaudioso

II.

–e sentivamo perderci
dopo cena in silenzio
le lucciole sul balcone
erano nostre.

In August, my friend, Alan Hamson, came to visit me in Singapore. He introduced Facebook to me. At the time I did not look at it to closely, I was worried I would spend a lot of time on this website. Time is really rare and important for me, for studying and reading. This Monday, when I met my student’s parents in the supermarket, they recommended Facebook to me again. So I decided to create my account in Facebook.

Suddenly, I realized it is totally cool! I am able to contact a lot of old friends around the world, like Odile, Loïc, Bradford, Etienne, Cristobal, Gauthier…etc. I lost their news for a while. It means I can now contact most of my friends who I met on the Road (my trip) a few years ago. It is so exciting!! And the point is my friends can contact each other. They will know me more and I will know them more. That means we can connect the World.

One day in the park
I had quite a surprise.
I met a girl
who had many eyes.

She was really quite pretty
(and also quite shocking!)
and I noticed she had a mouth,
so we ended up talking.

We talked about flowers,
and her poetry classes,
and the problems she’d have
if she ever wore glasses.

It’s great to know a girl
who has so many eyes,
but you really get wet
when she breaks down and cries.

Stick Boy liked Match Girl,
He liked her a lot.
He liked her cute figure,
he thought she was hot.

But could a flame ever burn
for a match and a stick?
It did quite literally;
he burned up quick.

On The Road By Jack Kerouac

on-the-road-1.jpg

When I go jogging in east coast park, I always have much inspiration. The sunset over the beach has much impact and emotion to inspire a poem or article.

I saw a wonderful sunset this evening. The people who live in east coast enjoy it like me. I go jogging there once a week. I enjoy seeing the sunrise and sunset. In east coast park, I will keep away from the busy area, go to the east side or west side. I run through the smell of a BBQ party, through the music of a guitar and the shadows of a couple deeply in love, listen my favorite mp3 music and jog to the end of beach, enjoy the wind from ocean, thinking, contemplating and recalling the past. Only this moment, let me think back to the memory of Southern Europe…

I see the color of a city
The sunset is sinking to the buildings of downtown
The bright golden light of the sun slowly fades away
The east of sky is turning to dark blue
I see the ships and their lamps on the horizon
Like the stars in the ocean

One hand loves the other
So much and me

Born stubborn me
Will always be
Before you count
One two three
I will have grown my own private branch
Of this tree

You gardener
You discipliner
Domestically
I can obey all of your rules
And still be
I never thought I would compromise

Let’s unite tonight
We shouldn’t fight
Embrace you tight
Let’s unite tonight

I thrive best hermit style
With a beard and a pipe
And a parrot on each side
But now I can’t do this without you
I never thought I would compromise

Let’s unite tonight
We shouldn’t fight
Embrace you tight
Let’s unite tonight

One hand loves the other
So much and me
Let’s Unison

Latte
